This encaustic painting moves from white pearlescent gradations into pink, then light blue, pale turquoise, and lavenders, before dissolving in violets. Because this is painted in encaustic, it is multilayered and richly complex, giving a sense of depth and a high sheen to the top surface. Thin blue lines seem to be spinning out of blue clouds, the entire painting giving the impression of lightness
