A semi abstract oil painting that is part of a series of 'Modern Skies'.

This contemporary skyscape was painted 'plein air' and finished in the studio. Layers of oil paint in soft pastel and grey tones, were subtly blended to recreate the atmosphere and depth of this mysterious and ethereal Sussex Downs landscape. The sun is peeping through the shifting clouds, casting light over the hills, which recede into the distance.

Ready to hang. The professionally hand made, solid wood frame, is hand painted using Farrow and Ball paint.

This artwork is signed and dated on the back (and this is repeated on the rear of the frame). A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included.

Artwork will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper, foam board and bubble wrap, then placed in a sturdy cardboard box.
