"Sky Fall Inlet" is a good example of an expressionistic seascape. The final piece looks quick and easy to create. However, there is much planning and knowledge that goes on before the canvas is touched. This is a pallet knife oil painting that can give direct color against color gestures. There is the suggestion of barrier island trees across a body of water that grounds the painting. Just as water reflects the sky, this piece carries that to the extreme. The suggested horizon has been compromised by merging the reflection with the actual sky. Bringing the sky below the horizon abstracts the seascape to the point where there is no separation of earth from sky.

Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Edge are painted and my be hung straight out of the box or framed.
