The Skellig rocks site of a 6th century monastic settlement (and recently featured in Star Wars ) has long captured my imagination.
This Summer I toured the Skellig Ring and was thrilled to find new views of the Skelligs at almost every twist of the road.
It was a lovely sunny day but for my painting I added a much more dramatic sky as I envisioned it at sunset.
I felt that was more in keeping with the drama of this special place
