Original artwork description:
I turned 66 just before planning this painting. A lot of my work is unplanned and has no underlying pattern; this one is different. There are 11 horizontal rows. split into 11, 10, 9, 8 etc units. The overall sum is 66 - I like maths, what more can I say! When the basic pattern had been measured out I connected the edges of different units on each row, which produced a pleasing triangular pattern.
'Sixty Six' works well either way up, but looks completely different (see photos). This painting would really suit a modern apartment but also works well in our Victorian home.
It is painted with acrylic paint on a canvas stretched over an internal wooden frame. It is ready to hang. Know anyone with a 66th birthday coming up?
