Original artwork description:

Six Abstracts on Red (1 and 2) are available singly or as a diptych. They are painted on canvas which was then mounted on plywood and framed in black wood. There is no glass in the mount so they are quite robust.

Each of the six panes is a separate abstract, reminding me of a very abstracted landscape. Together the six panes form a coherent single abstract.

Six Abstracts on Red 1 is quite small and would be best suited to a small wall where it can be viewed at close quarters. Mark-making was done with a combination of palette knives and dripping paint. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint applied with palette knives and by dripping.
