Expressionist charcoal drawing of a sitting woman in format A2 done in front of the model. - - - Mostly I sketch, draw and paint directly from nature, in front of a model or object - keeping this practice feeds into my work as a sculptor, printmaker and conceptual artist. Charcoal is a great medium for the expressionist - it breathes so much authenticity. 'Sitting Woman 01' was done just prior 'Sitting Woman 02' - comparing the both gives you an insight into the expressionist experience.

The handy collection format is A2 - 59.4 x 42 cm.
