JL Lacroix likes transcending the apparent reality. "Sirens" depicts illusory evanescent women who materialize in a white aura. They symbolize the virginal purity of souls wandering in an inhospitable environment. The expression on their faces will never be revealed. Only the posture of their long, slender silhouettes can reveal the nature of their emotions. The decor shows through their appearance as if they were absorbing all the grandeur of this untamed nature.
Painting on canvas 24 x 33 cm, ready to hang. Acrylic. Covered with two layers of quality varnish to perpetuate the work over time.
