Empowering women by celebrating the female universe in all it's deepness and swing.

Siokaln is the title of a drawing in colored pencils and inks on craft paper.
Depicted is delicate bust of a young lady with a beautiful long neck who seems to gaze fascinated by something outside of the paper.
The bottom of the drawing insinuated a shoulderless dress, much like a gala dress, one that might be worn on a gala opera night.

Monique van Steen's usage of materials shows her mastering of the visual impact,
conveying the public's eye to recognize a portrait with really a minimum of traces.
