This painting is a study about the music industry and the lengths to which people will change themselves to fit in with the industry. The idea was born from watching a documentary about the way the music industry gradually changes the singers from who they were to who they become. In this image Adam is exploring the deforming of the image, through the loose style of painting and deformity of the person through the stress and selling of one's self to a industry built on making as much money as possible.

The painting is created through a loose style, keeping the marks simple, yet through this simplicity Adam creates a detailed deformed face as a symbolic gesture to the way one might possibly feel inside, through the constant changing marketing of 'an image'.
