This is a small plen aire piece that I did on what appears to have been the very last day of the shirtsleeves weather for this year. Apparently, those clouds were snow clouds because we got snow later that night. It was 70 degrees Fahrenheit, though, when I was painting!
This work is executed on heavily gessoed thick watercolor paper. The view is from near the back door of my studio. The view is looking northwest toward Santa Fe.
I consider this piece as more of a sketch and have priced it accordingly. I think it would be a great piece for a small bathroom--particularly a windowless one, to give the feeling of adding a window with a view.
