A soothing moody skies artwork in sage green and beige tones of the waters around the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Highlands.
Title: Silver Shores
Made on a gentle day when there was hardly a breeze. The calm waters in this little remote area soothes the soul. Small cottages lie on the far shore making this a place to dream about. As the water laps gently on the silver shores of the sand bank, the only sounds are of small birds at the shore.
Printed at 48 x 32 inches with a 2 inches white border with the signature, title and edition number under the image for a total size of 52 x 36 inches.
Printed on beautiful thick fine art paper with a watercolour texture to bring out the texture of the mountains against the moody skies backdrop.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Arches-Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon.
This paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.
