Artwork description:

From my ongoing series of studies of vintage silverware.

As with all the work in my Silver Series, the beauty of Silver Series #351 comes from the fact that it is printed at roughly 3 times life size. Being quite a bit larger than life size, the detail and texture in the tarnished silverware becomes very prominent and the image takes on a very painterly look.

The photograph is handprinted by the artist 12x18 on 16x20 inch fine art paper. Number 1 of a limited series of 20, Signed and numbered on front.

Regarding size:

My work is hand printed at the size I feel best presents the subject matter. However, I am able to print many of the images at custom size if requested. If interested in a custom size, please contact the studio directly with your request. If available, we will promptly post the custom size to Artfinder for purchase.

Purchasers outside of USA please note:

Purchase price does not include duties and taxes that may be imposed by your country of residence.

About the artist:

Robert Tolchin is an artist who is as comfortable under the red glow of his darkroom safelight as he is in front of his computer monitor. A second generation photographer, classically trained in the photo program of Columbia College Chicago, Tolchin's work ranges from traditional, beautiful black and white figurative nudes to conceptual, digital images conceived in his imagination. His work is exhibited widely and is in personal and corporate collections in North America and Europe. Working from his studio north of Chicago he is available for fine art and portrait commissions.
