Silver Moon is an organic abstract re-imagining very late walks through local ancient woods with a shimmering moon flickering through the trunks and branches as you wind your way. A large work, it has baselayers of textured acrylic and built up impasto layers of loosely applied oilcolor creating visual movement in the woods and moonlight. The dark purples and burgundies go top accentuate the shimmering nature of the moonlight. Silver Moon is part of a series of forest inspired artworks created recently.
