My studio assistant, Lily, is a typical calico cat - sometimes aloof and sometimes silly. She enjoys sleeping in the studio, usually behind my desk top easel, and this is a typical pose of hers on waking up and realising she needs to pull a cute pose so I don't chase her off my desk.

Pastel is a great medium to show off fur and her white colour stands out against the dark brown background.
