The illustrations in the book are hand painted in the technique of "batik" on natural silk satin and quilted with cotton filler. Pages with text are made on polyester fabric. The text is printed by sublimation printing, the pattern around the text is hand-painted. The book consists of 14 textile pages (7 sheets).

The main character in Vladimir Odoyevsky's fairytale "The Town in the Snuff-box", a boy named Misha, takes an exciting journey into the magical and fascinating world of the music box, where he meets many interesting characters and discovers the basics of mechanics.
