Original artwork description:

The reference photo for this painting was shot at a campsite in the Adirondack Mountains of New York state. What intrigued me most was the strong shape of the figure in silhouette between the competing light sources of the campfire and the porch light of the cabin. I enjoy trying to bring variety to the darkness and create representational imagery from semi abstract forms.
