The Silent Valley Reservoir is located in the Mourne Mountains near Kilkeel, County Down in Northern Ireland. It supplies most of the water for County Down, surrounding counties and most of Belfast.

The painting is oil on canvas board and measures 20 x 16 x 0.3 ins, unframed.
