Original artwork description:

This wonderful painting shows a young free spirited woman in an intricate lace dress. The Artist, Cain, looks to capture the silent and graceful moment she slips away from a celebration to find time to reflect.

The book pages she faces towards are from Virginia Woolf’s novel, Night and Day; with open the imagination of the "first days of spring with buds that open and flowers that suddenly shake."

Cain's work is handed painted in Indian ink on vintage book pages mounted onto the canvas and wooden stretchers.
