A monotype print exploring a survivor of Shoah who suffered under 'Paragraph 175 of the German penal code''. Between 15 May 1871 until 10 March 1994 the LGBT community were punished until it was repealed in 1994. You could be accused by the most tenuous of accusations, including the way you looked at someone.

This print is a monotype created through the process of monoprinting, using oil based printing inks on plates. Each plate of colour is work upon, with each plate then printed on top of each printed colour through a printing press.

The image forms part of my Lost Genrations project.

Materials used:

Oil based printing ink on 300gsm paper.
