I represented in a figurative expressionist key "Swan Lake", set to music by Piotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, one of the most famous and acclaimed ballets of the 19th century. It encapsulates romanticism, virtuosity, elegance and fantasy. I was very involved in imagining the portrait of Princess Odette who, because of the spell of a jealous magician, turns into a white swan by day. But one night she meets Prince Siegfried who falls in love with her.
