“Shy” Roe Deer painting

If I don’t see you, you don’t see me. Walking though the woods on one dreamy evening, spotting a deer in the distance only for it to disappear before your eyes.

The roe is drawn in a stippling style with black ink on a moody background. The painting was done in 5 layers.
1. The background was painted in a deep blue acrylic
2. Clouds where painted with light blue oil paints
3. A silhouette of the roe was painted with white gesso
4. The roe was drawn in a stippling style with black ink
5. More clouds where painted over the top with white oil paints

Oils, Acrylic and ink on 8 x 8 inch canvas
