Original artwork description:

This is one of a series that I am working on depicting females in various poses and showing a variety of expressions. From Di Vinci’s Mona Lisa to Warhol’s Marilyn, more works of art have focused on the female than any other subject, and for good reason. Shy Nude represents a young woman deep in thought. I’ll leave her thoughts to the imagination of the viewer.
This is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art and no authorized copies will ever be made. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
One unique characteristic of this painting is that it is all done on 4 mil thick, archival grade drafting mylar. In my Architectural practice, I used drafting mylar exclusively for building plans. This material is tough, waterproof, inert, flexible, dimensionally stable, and it does not have to be stretched, like canvas and watercolor paper. The mylar is translucent so that paint can be applied to both sides of the artwork.
I work exclusively with India ink and acrylic paint; the acrylic for the background work and the India ink for details. With this particular piece, I have put large areas of background color on the reverse side of the painting with more detailed work on the front.
This painting is mounted on tempered masonite board with a two or three inch border. It is “ready to hang”, with a hanging strip attached to the back and a wall hanging device that is very simple to use. It will be shipped in a cardboard box. You may take it out of the box and have it hanging on your wall within five minutes.
