Shy girl (mixed media) is a modern abstract portrait image. It is a modern collage of original photos of works of art and photo art by the artist himself (so no stock photos) used. Shy girl is an image of a shy young woman, but still waters run deep. All images that can be found in the young woman's mind have been processed around the portrait. Shy girl is a balanced work of art.

It is a photo print on high-quality photo paper, which is pressed between dibond and plexiglass. An aluminum frame is attached to the back for hanging and to create a floating effect in relation to the wall. Comes with certificate of authenticity that is numbered and signed.

It is an edition of 20, so quite exclusive. Only 2 pieces are still available.

Description process for the mixed media:
Mixed media semi-digital works are modern and abstract works of art in which different techniques and materials are combined. The images in each Mixedmedia semi-digital artwork are excerpts from paintings, drawings and photography by artist Christian van Hedel.


By means of digital photo editing, a composition is composed of different images. These are printed on photo paper. The prints are processed by painting and by adding different mediums. This always creates a different picture. This process is repeated a number of times.

This ultimately creates a completely new sleek and modern work of art. All mixed media semi-digital images are provided with a sturdy aluminum frame as a suspension system.
