A short time ago, during an overseas visit, while I was staring into a lake full of clearly visible seaweed, I suddenly realised that, for some reason, I was wondering in what sort of habitat one would most likely find shrimp. I still don't know the answer, but the thought did inspire this, for me, rather more complex work, where the 'shrimp' trails have, I think, rather a 3D effect.
