An atmospheric, colourful acrylic painting inspired by the views looking out from the West Pennine Moors, towards the Lancashire plain and the Fylde Coast beyond. I wanted to capture the translucency of the sunlight as it filtered through dramatic low clouds, full of rain. I used a series of glazes to build depth and colour.
