Original artwork description:

This is the second in my new series called "Shorelines".

I grew up on the South coast of England and used to windsurf and sail with my Father. When I wasn't on the water I would always be beachcombing for shells, seaglass, pebbles and driftwood which I've always collected.

So this new series of work is inspired by those times by the sea

I've moved closer to making each element more three dimensional by moulding the shells and striped pebbles using watercolour paper, and the sea glass is made with polymer clay.

Each piece is mounted on a tiny foam-board plinth to raise it from the surface and create interesting shadows.

If you are interested in commissioning a piece I can make the pebbles, shells and sea glass in any colour combination and the size to your liking so please message me if you would like to discuss :)

Materials used:

Watercolours and metallic watercolours, moulded watercolour paper, and polymer clay in a deep box frame glazed with Perspex
