Artwork description:

Small edition, ready to hang. Large version is also available on artfinder. Frameless floating mount on aluminium dibond board (see the reference picture about the back of the image)!

This image was inspired by the medieval topos of "Ship of Fools" - it was a popular allegory, originating from Book VI of Plato's Republic, about a ship with a dysfunctional crew. This theme inspired different artists through the ages, not just painters, like Hieronymus Bosch, but writers, musicians as well, both classic and contemporary ones.

This image skillfully combines elements of art and philosophy to create a contemporary interpretation of the "Ship of Fools" allegory that explores the timeless themes of societal dysfunction and the ignorance and stupidity that can manifest in both individuals and groups. This artwork encourages reflection on the consequences of a society that is not in harmony, and challenges us to reconsider the role we play in creating a functioning and enlightened community.

Limited Edition Giclée Print. Paper: Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, printed with 5cm white border. Signed on the front, signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

We use pigmented inks and museum quality archival paper for the print (giclée print technology) - it means the light stability of the colors are more than 100 years, in compliance with Wilhelm Imaging Research.
