Ship Aground is painted in layers with oil and cold wax medium on a deep edged canvas. The abstract forms developed over a period of time, with each layer creating the forms which became reminiscent of an old sailing ship, fighting against a stormy sea. The cold wax gives a luminescent quality and a soft sheen to the surface. Framed in a deep edged white wooden frame with hanging fixings already attached, ready to hang.
