This work shows a portrait of a young girl. Lost in thought, she bows her head and looks down, holding back her hair with one hand. She is dressed solely in shoes, shoes made of shiny green. She moves in a space of colours and shapes, the background consists of a colour composition of expressive painting. The oil paint, applied with coarse brushstrokes, is runny in places, dripping and changing from beige terra di siena to brown to magenta and turquoise. The painting is spontaneous and direct, the subject is only hinted at in places and forms a whole with the painting of the background and the play of colours and shapes.
