The view from the Point Loma lighthouse at Cabrillo National park is in the top five of my all time favorite views in San Diego. I have painted here on site several times in my twenty year career. Nothing beats a day painting with 360 degrees view over downtown San Diego, the vast Pacific, and Point Loma stretching off into the distance.

Painted on 10oz cotton duck archival canvas, using vibrant color-rich oil paints, the varying hues of color jump off the canvas, and invite the viewer to step into a world of extraordinary aliveness. Vibrant fuchsias, illuminating yellows, and electric greens fill the landscape

Materials used:

Original Oil painting applied with brushes on archival canvas. Painting is wrapped and painted around the sides, and stretched on heavy-duty stretcher bars.
