This seascape is part of the shimmering sea paintings series inspired by walks near where I live in the North welsh coast. I often go to observe and sketch the sea just a short walk from my studio and take every opportunity to observe the shimmering which occurs on the surface of the sea only with the right weather conditions.
The shimmering is carefully painted with pin sized dots all the way from the horizon line to the foreground where the rhythm and size of the dots change.
This is a 16x16 inch /40.5x40.5x4 cm with a deep edge canvas.
It is also painted on all four sides and does not require framing.
Ready to Hang.
