Original artwork description:

I remember going down to this market when I was a child some fifty years ago living nearby. I had a chance to visit the market a month or two ago and, although there were echoes of the past, the traders and clientele seemed somewhat different. I said to one of the Asian 'vendors' that when I came down here in the fifties, if you saw a Black or a Asian face they looked out of place; now, I look out off place. Fortunately he (and I) saw the funny side and we had a bit of a laugh....
