With every new portrait I discover something new in myself as an artist, something new in my subject, something new in the materials I use. These daily discovery's not only help me grow my craft, but help me grow as a person.

In painting this model I found I was drawn to lighter pastel colours, yet there was a darker side to this young lady, hidden depths she was keeping under wraps. Although I never pushed the question with her I couldn't help but show these hidden emotions in my brush strokes.

Oil on canvas 76x100cm
UV varnished to help protect against sunlight and everyday dirt and dust.
Sides have been painted so no framing is required unless wished. Ready to hang with a hanging wire attached.
Securely packed with layers of bubble wrap and cardboard.
