Sheffield Park is an informal landscape garden in East Sussex which was laid out by Capability Brown in the 18th Century. There are many places in the UK to see Autumn colour but this has to be one of the best. A series of linked ponds reflect the colours of the trees and on a sunny day it is a feast for the eyes.
When we visited we were lucky enough to spend some time watching a kingfisher darting across the pond, to and fro, infront of the waterfall.
The painting is my attempt to capture the wonderful colours of the day. It is an impressionistic painting with bold brush strokes and some splattering of paint to give the feeling of falling leaves falling all around.
It is supplied rolled in a tube and I will ship it free to anywhere in the world.
