«Located fifteen kilometers south of Sisteron, Châteauneuf Val St Donnat offers many painting subjects. An open valley in Provence with its numerous sheds, its olive groves and hills. I made this painting from a photo taken last weekend attracted by the contrast between the foreground and the hills in the background, a subtle blend of colored gray of the end of winter.»
