'She Said No',
A woman with attitude, painted at the height of the #MeToo movement.
Sal’s paintings over the past few years have developed through her personal voyage of interpreting human expression and the representation of conflicting emotions. She explores emotional relationships both with each other and with images; using portrayals of fictional characters as metaphors for our state of being, our turmoil, contradictions and everyday dilemmas.

I select subjects and themes that resonate in some way - something I feel we can relate to as viewers; I want to take a moment to connect, by capturing a glance, a gesture, an emotion that unites us, a shared experience.
