This lino print was created for the TRIOS 2017 touring exhibition, the brainchild of artist Jo Mortimer - a game of chinese whispers between photographers, poets and artists. This print was inspired by the poem 'Stone Immemorial' by Paul Mortimer, which was written in response to a work by photographer Richard Fox.
The 'mother stone' of the Eightercua stone row, near Waterville in County Kerry was my muse.
This is a reduction linoprint printed with oil-based inks onto Somerset Velvet printmaking paper in rich shades of grey, green and pink. It is supplied loose, ie without a mount/mat or frame. If you would like a custom cut mount please get in touch with your frame size.
