Two girls are in the center of the canvas. The first is seen from behind, in a standing or sitting position, with her shoulders slightly hunched as if she were carrying an emotional weight. The second, behind her, softly rests her head between the shoulder blades of the first, with a melancholic expression and closed eyes, in a gesture of comfort and abandonment, both have a sad look, but not desperate, more a sweet, intimate melancholy, as if they were sharing a pain without the need for words.
