Shaggy Scott - Original Watercolour Painting

This Highland heifer original is is 23 wide by 21cm high and is un-matted and unframed making shipping a safer and cheaper.

With his unruly, flowing long ginger fringe (known as the Dossan) he wanders the wild of the Scottish Highlands looking for pasture. These cattle are known as gentle giants and cut quite a dash don't you think?

A perfect and unusual gift for the lover of all things Scotland.

I aimed to paint him very loosely to convey the winds gusting his beautiful mane and fur around whilst his statuesque horns remained immovable. I loved using a very responsive and poetic handmade English paper to evoke the layers of rusty fur and hair.

My paper is handmade one sheet at a time at Two Rivers Mill in Watchet, Somerset UK. It is acid free and archival which will give your painting decades of life.

This is an original cow watercolour which I have signed on the front.

I will package your painting artwork totally safely in a thick flatpack to protect it on its way to you.
