Original artwork description:

An original mixed media study of the incredible Shaggy ink cap mushroom, which after maturing literally dissolves into a puddle of ink.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon a patch of Shaggy ink caps just on the turn, when hiking around Robin Hood bay in Yorkshire and was struck by how incredible and gothic they look when starting to melt, and was inspired to create this picture.
