Stark, winter, silhouetted trees alongside a country lane with a backdrop of the dales make this a visually arresting painting.
This impressive line of trees skirts a lane which drops down into the beautiful valley of the river Wharfe. The starkness of their silhouettes appealed to me as did the skeletal shapes of the shadows thrown across the road. Although majestic in full leaf I think they also have a grandeur in their winter form. Like most roads in paintings, this one disappears in the distance, here it drops down leaving its destination to the imagination.
I pride myself in giving a good service to purchasers as I want them to enjoy the picture and to be assured that it will arrive in top condition. All paintings are wrapped and boxed in heavy duty, double walled corrugated board.
