I recently spent a week painting on the island of Monhegan. It is a short ferry ride, only 1 1/2 hours. 13 miles out to sea. So beautiful! Truly dark, dark skies and at night, a quiet without cars. Amazing! My days were filled with painting. This is a painting of the lighthouse, located at a high point on the island. I was fascinated with the play of light on the form of this building and found myself painting it over and over!
