This artwork is part of a research on the cultural stereotypes of our times. Themes such as Love and Sexuality have been used and abused in every context and for the most disparate purposes. What can be seen is that in the vast majority of cases it is a question of exploitation characterized by a positive base note which aims to make the public recognize the ideal model proposed. It is precisely against this homologation of experiences and values that my painting stands: a canvas with alarming colors, which evokes an atmosphere of oppression and a sense of threat with shapes and colors. It is a vision in opposition to the idea of sexuality as an inseparable unity and daydream that the collective imagination proposes to today's young girls through films, novels and music. For some of them, the fairy tale does not turn out to be such, and in addition to physical pain there is also another type of more subtle suffering linked to the fact of perceiving theirselves inadequate and different because "unable" to live the experience as the cultural stereotype paints it.
