There is nowhere quite like it, San Francisco. It has stirred in my imagination from childhood onwards, a nirvana waiting, a place of pilgrimage that beckons. And finally, one day, I was there, jet lagged and disorientated. I stood and gazed in wonder at the view. The whole city awaited, wharfs and piers, Height Ashbury and incense-filled shops, film locations. This work depicts the iconic view of the so-called Seven Sisters. It is a lovely work, full of sun and colour. The canvas is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished. Texture has been added to give extra depth. A perfect gift, a great souvenir of America and a wonderful collection starter.
