Original artwork description:

The cells of the entire body are renewed every seven years, which means that you as a person are constantly being renewed even at the micro-biological level. It was on hearing this on the radio, that the artist decided to create a work from seven reds, to symbolise new birth.



Even though this is an abstract, there is an intention to construct a landscape with a valley at the centre at surreal promontories either side. This creates a sense of looking through and beyond the composition. The painting continues in a wrap around the frame to also suggest a continuum of sorts. The work is a celebration of life and its miraculous facility to renew.
