Settlement, Millennium

This glass work I made in 2000 for the thousand-year anniversary of the Hungarian State Foundation. (It was displayed in 2000 at the exhibition of the same name in Buda Castle of Budapest) The sword and shield reveal St. Steven contemporary shapes and patterns.
I used fragile materials, because patched up peace.
Materials and sizes:
Fused colorful glass, yellow brass wire in the handle.
Shild diameter: 20,7 in, thickness: 0,6 in, weight: 12,76 pounds. Sword diameter: 24,4x6 in, thickness: 0,9 in. weight: 2,8 pounds. Holder: glased grey clay, diameter:16,6x10,8x2,4 in, weight: 7,3 pounds.
