Artwork description:
An etching with aquatint, soft ground and marbling of our beautiful black cat, Pálinka, comfortably settled in on our sofa. The zinc plate was etched with the drawing of the cat and sofa. It was then aquatinted to give depth and texture to the cat. The sofa then had an etch with a soft ground fabric pattern and marbling to give more texture and shape to the cushions. Four trips through the acid bath for this plate to achieve an image I was happy with.
