Artwork description:

A reduction linocut of a wintry scene at National Trusts' Waddesdon Manor. The sun glows and appears larger behind the distant misty trees. This it the second print I have done of this scene, the other print titled Last Light, Waddesdon, sold out very quickly.

A reduction lino print is formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block. These linocuts are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. Below the print the print number, the title and my signature. It is mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit straight into a standard off-the-shelf 12x12inch frame.

This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card support for safety.

Materials used:

Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks. Mounted to fit into a standard 12 x 12 inch frame.

About
I am inspired by countryside walks and the changes in weather and season upon the landscape. I translate my scenic discoveries into colourful linocuts using the reduction method. This involves repeatedly cutting... Read more
