Series Coastal Cafe. Three ORIGINAL watercolors: Teagulls Have a Tea Time, Martini by Martin, and Kiss of Seagulls. The size of each of them is 28x38cm (11x15in) The artworks are unique and one of a kind.
In the Ukrainian language, the word Seagull (ЧАЙка) contains another word Tea (ЧАЙ). I imagined chatty girlfriends as noisy seagulls who met to drink a cup of tea and chatter. I called this plot *У чАйок - чайОк* -- Seagulls have tea time (Teagulls Have a Tea Time).
While I was drawing this picture, I remembered that we have a species of bird similar to seagulls named Martin (Мартин), also Martin is a male name common in the past. The plot of *Мартіні від Мартина* -- Martini by Martin is based on the similar sounding of the name Martin and the drink Martini and also on the view of a seagull looking for food in a coastal cafe.
The third picture from the Coastal Cafe series is *Поцілунок чайок* (Чайkiss) -- Kiss of Seagulls. When seagulls intertwine their beaks (it looks like a kiss), they often simply snatch food from each other. Such an unromantic situation turned into a romantic meeting of seagulls in love and their kiss.
